Refund Policy
This Refund Policy governs the refund of fees paid through the official website and Online Admission Portal of Kashi Naresh University (KNUB).
1. Admission Application Fee
The Admission Application Fee paid for submission of an online application is non-refundable and non-transferable under all circumstances.
The application fee is charged towards processing, scrutiny, verification, and administrative activities associated with the admission process. Accordingly, no refund shall be made irrespective of whether:
- the applicant does not complete the application;
- the applicant is found ineligible;
- the applicant is not shortlisted or selected;
- the applicant withdraws the application;
- the applicant does not participate in counselling;
- the applicant does not seek admission after selection; or
- the admission process is not completed by the applicant for any reason.
2. Course / Admission Fee
Applicants who are offered admission may be required to deposit the prescribed Course/Admission Fee within the stipulated time.
The Course/Admission Fee shall be non-refundable once all of the following conditions have been fulfilled:
- the applicant has participated in the counselling process (where applicable);
- the University has verified all required documents;
- the applicant has been found eligible; and
- admission has been formally granted by the University.
Thereafter, no refund shall be admissible if the student withdraws, cancels admission, remains absent, or discontinues the programme for any reason.
3. Excess or Duplicate Payments
If an applicant believes that an excess or duplicate payment has been made, the matter must be reported to the University through the prescribed grievance or support mechanism along with the relevant transaction details and supporting documents.
The University shall verify the claim based on its records and the records of the authorised payment gateway or banking institution. Refund, if found admissible, shall be processed only after such verification and approval by the University.
4. Failed or Disputed Transactions
If an applicant's payment is unsuccessful, disputed, or the amount has been debited without the expected transaction status, the applicant must immediately bring the matter to the notice of the University by providing the relevant payment details.
The University shall examine the transaction in coordination with the authorised payment gateway and/or the concerned bank, wherever necessary. Any refund or corrective action shall be considered only after verification and approval by the University.
5. Processing of Approved Refunds
Where the University approves a refund after verification, the refund shall ordinarily be credited to the original source of payment, subject to the procedures and timelines of the authorised payment gateway, banking institution, and applicable financial regulations.
Submission of a refund request does not automatically entitle an applicant to a refund. All requests shall be examined on their individual merits, and the decision of the University shall be final.
6. Final Decision
The decision of Kashi Naresh University regarding any request for refund shall be final and binding.
The University reserves the right to reject any refund request that is not supported by adequate evidence or is found to be inconsistent with this Policy or the applicable admission rules.
7. Policy Amendments
Kashi Naresh University reserves the right to amend, modify, or withdraw this Refund Policy at any time in accordance with applicable laws, Government regulations, University Ordinances, or administrative requirements. Any revised policy shall become effective from the date of its publication on the official website.
